Zultgems is proud to unveil another outstanding Zultanite® suite, the ‘Grace of Umai’. The suite was named for Umai, the goddess of fertility in Turkic-Mongo mythology. Associated with mother earth, Umai is said to have worn her long golden hair in 60 tresses that look like the rays of the sun. According to legend, Umai radiated life sustaining energy and her name aptly graces these wonderfully scintillating all-natural Turkish gemstones. The centerpiece of this magnificent suite is a 43.66 carat (49 x 15 mm) pear shape Zultanite® – impossibly rare, given that only a handful of Zultanite® this size have ever been discovered. All gems in the suite were finished with a special mixed step cut combination and also include a 26 x 16.5 mm Oval ring gem (31.70 carats) and matching 26 x 11 mm Pear Shape earring gems, respectively weighing 11.21 and 11.93 carats. These fine Zultanite® gemstones were deftly cut by third generation master cutters, Rudi and Ralph Wobito.
